& you are not having him arrested why? I mean a good punch in the gut and a copy of the pawn tag so he knows, you can't wait for karma on this one.

Help me out here, I am a retired cop. I cant understand why the bloke has not been charged with theft. Down here he would be charged, he has "ssumed the rights of the owner" end of converstaion its what we would call "a walk up start" also I would give him false report to police & handling stolen goods johno

Great ending to the story, glad you got your gun back. The SOB that pawned your gun is a P.O.S.!!! It would be fun to tell him that your local police raided a local pawn shop and identified the rifle as yours from the serial number, I would love to see his face when you said that!!!

I've never really been wronged by someone I knew - to that extent. Don't quite know what I would do!

Hey JAR: Glad you got it back. "Vengance is mine, sayth the Lord... Payback can be yours !! I'd forgotton 'bout mine. In 1976, a neighbor borrowed a Win l200 12ga. Got a deer with it. Borrowed it next year, no deer. He bought a new Rem.870 12ga, used it a few times then thought luck with mine would be better. Borrowed it in l978, Haven't seen him since nor my Win 1200. Heard he stole some jewels & some stuff from a elderly lady, did time somewhere. Even his brother doesn't know where he is.
Just reading this story tonite brought back memories I'd forgot about, 29 yrs ago. ... 99 LL ...
