I have an older 250 1/14 twist. I have 87 gr Speer and imr 3031. I was just wondering if anybody is using this combo and what your loads are. I was thinking 32 grains might be a good load.

IMR shows 34 grains as maximum. I had success at 33.5 grains, but that relates to best accuracy in what I was testing. I do not know the velocity. Your mileage may vary. I think the accuracy here may have been related to case filling. Best wishes, Marc

Oh yes, CCI BR-2 primers as well. Hornady now has .250 brass for sale. Better grab some. The Winchester and Remington brass in .250 is not the best.
