Bought one of these last month on sale for $209 shipped. Finally got around to mounting a scope on it and test fired it today. Love the stock. I am left handed and they designed the rifle to be ambidextrous. The trigger is simply outstanding. Zero creep and it breaks at under 2 pounds. Took me 3 or 4 test shots before I could teach my mind how light it really was. Did a crude sight in using a dead fish floating in our lake about 40 yards away so can’t say for certain how accurate it is but I hit the fish:). Not for a child as it is hard to cock. Nor is it quiet. But seems like a great buy for the price. Hits with authority. Thumbs up.
Does this .405 Winchester make my butt look big?

A good airgun is a joy and the Germans sure know how to build 'em.

After it burns off excess lubricant, it will probably quiet down some. The RWS guns seem to diesel a lot initially from excess factory lube.

I have owned a couple of 34's, good rifles - a little long and heavy but good shooters. Much better than any of the Gamo's or Ruger, Rem, etc. Chinese guns that I have tried. (Not quite Beeman good though). Good rings are a must. Rings with a pin that pokes down into the hole in the scope rail is a must. Enjoy the new springer.

Sounds like you got a good deal.
Before I knew what an RWS or a Diana 34 was, I bought a Ruger AirHawk, which I sold, and a Ruger Blackhawk Elite which I still have. Apparently both are clones of a 34, but with the older T5 trigger. They're pretty good for a hundred bucks.
I've since handled an older Diana 34 with the wood stock and it is a lot nicer feeling and more slender and attractive stock than the bulky blocky AirHawk. The Blackhawk Elite is a much sleeker rifle than the AirHawk, but still long and heavy. But accurate.
I like the 34 Panther, and the 34 Pro Compact quite a bit. A nice upgrade from the Ruger.
