What I really miss on the the new format is being able to sort on the listing number. Before you could just click once on the listing number header and the newest listing was on top.

And end the "RESERVE" auctions!


If I'm in the market to buy something and some of the items don't have a clear price, I can't get to the next item soon enough.

It just isn't complicated.

A salesman once told me that it takes on average 9 seperate contacts with a customer before a sale is made. A lot of studying goes into how best to get a person to buy a product so in general there aren't many missteps in advertising. I wonder if Gunbroker studied their customers and concluded that the only way to sell to stubborn, set in their ways old men, is to just wear them down? It sounds like some of you are maybe to the point where you'll just capitulate and shell out the cash? After all, if you were so disgusted with them you could just not go to the website.

I sent several messages to their "Customer Service" Link. Here is what I got back:

As noted on the link, access to the previous search page was available for a "limited time". The purpose being to allow our users time to acclimate themselves with new page for an easier transition. We had anticipated that 4 months would accomplish this goal and the majority of users are successfully using the new search page. The old search page will no longer be supported.

In other words, there's nothing wrong with our website, there are no improvements possible. We gave you time to get used to it, so whatid ya do with all that time? Most people have no problem with it, you must be an idiot. We're ignoring your ideas, deal with it. Oh, and thank you for using Gunbroker, you're making us rich.

Yea. I use them hardly at all any more for selling. There are better venues for this. I used to enjoy their buyer's format, butI guess nothing ever stays the same...........

They're all the same. It's all about technology and making things 'better'. I've been hammering paypal on their changes to their shipping app. Not one reply but they profess to want input and demand it every time I use the old app.

I wish I could ignore my customers. Think how peaceful life could be!

Gunbroker is convinced they know best for us. That's why in the last few days the listings for savage 99 has dropped down to 2 pages from 4-5. You just can't make this stuff up.
