I've used Testosterone replacement for 23 years. Started with patches that caused red rings where they were applied. Moved on to Androgel, which is like an alcohol based cream that you simply rub on your shoulders in the morning after a shower. Androgel is far and away the best replacement I every had, but it's on patent and without good health care coverage you'll never get it. Currently I'm back on the shots. I've tried to do them myself, but injections in my leg cause it to swell for a week after the injection. So I visit my local clinic very other week and they give me my shot in the rear. It doesn't even cost me anything out of pocket.

I went through the Testim, fortesta and androgel with no noticeable change in blood work. I pretty much gave up on it until a month or so ago went I finally went to see an Endocrinologist. He wanted two more additional blood tests from his practice and then prescribed the injections. After I gave myself the injection last night I still have a bit of a charlie horse in my thigh but haven't had any noticeable changes as of yet. Like I said, I am no expert and was looking to see if anyone else here has gone this route. Unfortunately we have the F-Troop guys that run around and schitt in every thread making a conversation damned near impossible.
