Thinking of a 6.5 twist 22-250 28'barrel to utilize the new 90 95gr bullets offered by sierra bullets. Looking to shoot 600 yds to 1000 or go with a 6x47 lapua 8twist?.

owning a one in 7 twist, 22.250 with a 24 inch stainless PacNor barrel on it...

at those distances I'd go with the 6 x 47 Lapua....

the 22 caliber would certainly handle it.. but I tend to have a little more faith in a heavier
bullet at distances of out to 1000 yds...

at 600 yds, I think it would be a toss up...

If you could get a one in 7 twist with the Lapua, I'd go that route..

I have a 1 in 7 twist on a 6mm Rem LA....

that twist you can run 115 grain Bergers quite easily....

not so with the one in 8 twist...
