A pair I called in a few fall's back, while hunting mule deer. I shot the female first at 222 meters. The male(pictured on the left) disappeared into the roughs but broke out in a small flat, just past 900 meters, and stopped for a look back. I put in 5.3 mils, no wind hold. I thought I missed, but after a short sprint he tipped over. Quite a hike and drag back up to the rifle, but worth it. 140gr JLK 3200fps. You can see the exit right behind the shoulder and about the size of a dime.

That's very impressive. Do you mind sharing specs on the rifle?

I suppose there are those who think that a first shot hit on a coyote at 985 yards is skill...me, I think that is nothing short of magic... If I may ask, what does that rig weigh?

AI mags with the plate removed are 2.980" Alpha mags are the same. They come in 7 or 10 shot. A five round AI mag will hold three rounds of 6.5 SAUM.

May have to get my feet wet with a DBM on the next build, I'd sure like to build a semi heavy 6.5 PRC ........thanks Pat!

Accurate Mags are rated at 2.95 but feed the 140 vld and 143 eld-x for my 6.5 WSM at 2.98 without issue. They come in 3 and 7 rd Mags and are a bit cheaper then ai’s. I didn’t have good luck with the 3 Alphas I ordered a few years ago so I haven’t tried them since. 3 rd Accurate Mag in Seekins dbm on my 6.5 WSM for reference.

Mallard, Are those "Hello Kitty" 3-D glasses on your bench. My granddaughter had a pair just like them and she always was losing them.

Beats the hell out of me what they are. They belong to my granddaughter and we’re left at my house. My wife thinks that workbench is the catch all
