Bought one just like this from warpig last year. Glass is fantastic, weight is perfect for what it offers. Leupold haters be damned, its a great western hunting scope!

is the fire plex reticle different or same the firedot duplex on the VX-R Model? It is not the same. The VX-R duplex reticle is bolder than the typical Leupold duplex and just about perfect for hunting applications. I was assured by Leupold before pulling the trigger on a purchase for a VX-5HD that the reticles would be the same, but they are NOT. The firedot duplex in the VX-5 is wider and thinner...more like a wide duplex than anything else.
