Thanks for posting that. I thought I was the only one who had cows get out.

If you got cows in a pasture, they will get out sooner or later. I had some one time that I swear could hear a tree or limb falling on a fence and run to it. miles

I have a bad habit about forgetting to shut one of my gates. I'll be on the tractor, and think that I'll go ahead and pull the tractor back in the shed, and then go back and shut the gate. Bad idea! Twice lately I've forgot about the gate until later. So far, cows haven't gotten out, but if I still keep forgetting, it's only a matter of time. Old age ain't fun.

A corner post broke off, we have some flat fence. We were making deep ruts getting the cows in, I don't know if we can pull the stub post, and push in a new post.

In the past we have had a few lineback heifer calves that were given to us. Both of them we could not keep in our pasture for the first year of their lives. They would go under the fence every chance they got. Once they got to be yearlings we never had a problem.. Rest of the herd gets out maybe once a year. Then the grain bucket comes out and it's like the pied piper is in town....

I’ve gathered escaped horses a time or three Richard.

You guys remember some of my earlier videos this winter?

The one where the blizzard pushed the herd 6 miles east down the closed county road?

Thats why I shoot snowbanks.

My cows only seem to get out when I am dressed up a bit and have somewhere to go that I am late getting to.

I did have a couple that could step thru a tight 5 wire like it wasn't there. They taught their progeny to do it too. Sold em'.

Not to start any fence cutting, range wars, or the hiring of gunslingers, but I swear that sheep can de-materialize on one side of a perfectly good fence and then re-materialize on the other side. (I see that the program does not approve of de-materialize - beam me up, Scotty!)
