Four low life's, two women and two men jailed for defrauding over 100 people out of $125,000.00 over a three year period. They said they were seeking donations for Wounded Warrior Inc.
Fortunately, they were investigated and charged with crimes and could be looking at some real jail time. I hope they are looking at real time and tons of community service and restitution. I hope a judge gets creative and they have to wear a sign on a corner saying what they did. Latrine duty would be a good starting place, send the guys "down rang" for a month. Make them walk through a V.A. Hospital with a sign saying what they did.
They are white trailer trash, disgusting to the marrow in their bones.
I live in a military town "home of the 101st" you should witness the fake train daily here at every intersection, traffic light and turn lane. 95 lb meth heads trying to pass themselves off as "wounded warriors" sitting on a five gallon bucket surrounded by cig butts, mt dew bottles and mcdonalds bags. Sad part is the soldiers and soldier's wives fall for it and hand dollars out the window. Town of 100k people and I think we've got more bums than Nashville.
It hit a nerve with me. Lots of military service in my family to include Purple Hearts, lost eyes, POW and KIA, Military Intelligence, Normandy, Omaha Beach, 82nd and 101st Airborne, gliders, Civil War, WWII, Viet Nam, Peace Officer careers, etc.
I have little sympathy for those worst of the worst who prey on the sacrifices of the veterans of the worlds greatest military and they and their families tremendous sacrifices.
Not surprising....... Nowadays these scumbags are attracted to anyplace where they think they can get free money and get away with it. Kind of like most politicians.
Makes it more and more difficult for legit charities to be able to help legit vets.
Same with this whole therapy dog bullcrap. Co-dependant idiots are bringing more scrutiny upon truly handicapped people AND vets of course that utilize working dogs.
I've always wondered about those guys, seems to be a lot of vets on the street corners. I hosted a REAL Wounded Warrior vet on a mule deer hunt a few years back but I didn't go through the Wounded Warrior Assn. I did it on my own through 3-4 of the gun forums & we had an amazing time. Him & his wife spent a week with me & my wife & we've stayed in touch for about 6 years now. Best experience I've ever had. He was a Marine Corp Sniper. Four tours between Iraq & Afghanistan, got nailed by an IED.
Yup. Despicable. Punishment ought to be trebled for crimes against veterans.
We have a wounded warrior program here where we take vets fishing. One day each year, well over 100 boats take one vet each out for a day. Equipment, food and more all provided. I usually act as deckhand, not being a boat owner. Last year, there were more boats than vets who signed up. Lots of good folks here.
It makes ya cynical towards all Not right to take the carte Blanche attitude towards all with that feeling. But being exposed to it in Clarksville outside of fort campbell daily makes ya that way
Vets, retirees , civilians, family members , active duty
All are disgusted by the gamers and scammers of the entire system that is being played.
And the imposters aren't always using the "wounded warrior" scam........ Sometimes it's those "homeless vets" begging money on corners. Ran into one "homeless vet" who looked to be mid to late 20's.... Asked him what his M.O.S. had been.... Then he says he can't remember. Either he's fake or he's got some real serious problems and shouldn't be out on a street corner begging money.
They want to be military!? Take them up to about 20,000 ft over the desert or ocean, and push their asses out! They can have parachutes, with cut lines! -TomT
Or sign em up on the campfire. There's a few or plenty on here that will kiss their feet and roll out the red carpet for em. Hell, might even fix em up with a goody doggy bag of donations and a free rifle.
