It's depressing to think how much political power is lost because gun owners can't support each other's different tastes in guns. Too many shooters actually buy into a portion of the anti-gun BS. Incredible....

The Second Amendment is a "doomsday" proviso to protect We The People if a tyrannical "Big Brother" actually tries to overtly enslave us!
Covertly? Yeah the gubmnt screws us every chance they get! But no sense in rolling over for them.
On in other words, The 2nd Amemnment says NOTHING! about "guaranteeing" our hunting privilages - ONLY OUR LIBRTY TEETH! Mr. Zumbo doesn't understand that fact.
Again, owning firearms and weapons is about our liberty teeth.
I've sent four emails to Outdoorlife stating that I will never again buy their rag or any of their products, thanks to one dumbass-fool in the form of Jim Zumbo! I used to annually subscribe to Outdoorlife till they got too full of advertisements. Recently bought an issue for the story about the vicious wolf attack in Idaho (which I read about on this and several other boards).
I made it clear to Outdoorlife's management and PR sweethearts that I'm done with them! And the fact Zumbo "offered an apology" is beside the point. Why was Outdoorlife so stupid as to publish a stupid article!!??
Zumbo called good law-abiding "citizens" (not slaves or subjects!) terrorists if the own or use AR15-type rifles.
I don't like motorcycles - personally, but I'll defend ANYONE's right to own and use them!
In addition to boycotting Outdoorlife, I will boycott any of their sponsors!
Zumbo really is a dumbo, isn't he?

WOW...he was supposedly hunting with a Remington guy when he made those comments, I figured he was thinking that way because Remington didn't make an AR15.

So far 2/25/07 he has lost his job at outdoor life, his tv show and all of his sponsors. Ted Nugent is trying to help him by takeing him on a varment hunt with AR's and SWAt mag is offering to allow him a class at a tach school with an AR IF he writes an article for SWAT telling of his conversion to the dark side.
In the end this may work out to our advantage since the anti's really do not care about his opinions only what his statements can do to misinform the general public through mis quotes.
So if he has had an epiphany, and they do not realize it he can throw the lie back at them.
I do not think Zumbo is an anti, I think he stated an uninformed opinion. For what reasons I can only guess at but deadlines come to mind Having done a bit of freelance work myself.
