I ordered a 39A hammer from them. They sent me a hammer that will not work. I complained. They said my Marlin was probably old. They only sell parts to Marlins newer than 2006. No offer to take back the hammer. No warning that the hammer they sold was for newer Marlins. Be careful if you deal with Midwestgunworks. They won’t get my business any more.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Lucky you. As far as I'm concerned, I hope they go out of business.

Straight from their site https://www.midwestgunworks.com/marlin-model-39a.html?page=2Marlin Model 39A All parts listed in this category are specific to the Marlin Model 39A rifles made post 2009 unless otherwise noted. These will have a "REP" proof mark on the right side of the barrel. It is recommended that all parts be fit by a qualified gunsmith. Please scroll down for a complete list of all parts available.

What happened to the original hammer?

Lucky you. As far as I'm concerned, I hope they go out of business. Luck had nothing to do with it ....... but comprehensive reading has helped.

I bought a hammer on flea bay.
The previous owner of my newly acquired 39A bent the hammer so that it would be easier to thumb back under a scope.
I believe MGW should have had the courtesy to allow a return. As it is, they will never get another order from me. If you want to deal with those scum, go for it. Yes, I guess I didn't know there was a difference in hammers. That does not give them the right to have [bleep] customer service.

They sent exactly what was described. The issue wasn't on their side to fix.

IF you let yourself get to be 100 years old...you won't even remember...the...uh...
Don't ask me about my military service or heroic acts...most of it is untrue.

They suck don’t do business with them. I have dealt with MGW many times and they are great to work with, good inventory, fast shipping and offer a MIL/LE discount for those that qualify. Maybe you should read the fine print next time.
Keep moving forward!
