Found one of these recently and it's in near mint condition with a nice straight-grained stock. Any thoughts and value approximations appreciated. Fred

While I can't shed any light on the value, I can tell you that .280 is a pretty rare chambering in the M/725 most you'll encounter are .30-06.

I used to have one in .270...really nice rifles but don't remember seeing one in 280 for sale. Wasn't it Don Lewis in Fur Fish & Game that used to occasionally write about his? As I recall, he was very partial to it for whitetails here in Wisconsin.

DF DF, I forgot to take photos, but the owner is going to take a few. I'll post soon as they arrive.

Nice! My .260SA is one of my favorites, rebarreled from .244.

For some reason, when I was a kid, I thought thse were the bees knees, maybe because there was an exploded drawing in The Complete Book of Rifles and Shotguns. Not sure I've ever seen one in the flesh.
What fresh Hell is this?

A 725 in 280?! Does the haystack come with that needle?
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
