Hircine tourism is the Azerbaijan’s fastest growing industry. They rank just behind the US State of Hawaii in Goatherd Magazine’s annual enthusiast poll.

I hate even comment but for the record annealing is not just about softening various alloys. What the controlled application of heat does is e release inter-granular tension within the neck of a case or whatever, this stress is usually the result of machining or working the metal. Once this tension or internal stress is relieved the grain structure of the alloy re-aligns resulting in better ductility or less brittle and usually softer. I would suspect such a process would yield a bullet jacket less likely to fragment and more likely to upset or mushroom. Sounds a bit costly and labor intensive for questionable results. But just a thought.

Sorry to interrupt such an analytic and thoughtful debate

I never put it together like that so thanks.
It was just a question I had about a subject that I'd never heard of or considered.
I'll never anneal any jacketed bullets probably but the subject is intriguing.

And Azerbaijan is where Steelhead has as his location in his profile. Tom264's stupidity
and free rent that he provides Steelhead in his mini-brainpan is the only way he ever even
even heard of such a place. Tom's an imbecile, plain and simple.

Don't knock that skill set Bart, there is a local girl here I am reliably informed can suck a golf ball through thirty feet of garden hose, a very popular lass I have come to see as extremely attractive.
