It is my understanding that Dakota Arms, on the brink of bankruptcy several years ago, was acquired by Remington. Does Remington's bankruptcy mean that Dakota is kaput as well? Hope not, as they build some fine rifles.

There was a show on one of the outdoor channels a couple of weeks ago about this. This is where Remington custom shop is now. Don't think it will close, unless Remington goes broke.

Remington filed just to clear old debts in the Remington name. Has nothing to do with the other brands. The parent company is the Freedom group, now renamed as Remington Outdoor Company.

This is where Remington custom shop is now. . I wonder if it will be possible to get a 700 with a Dakota style stock at any time?
