My wife asked me to find her a nice four wheeler a few weeks ago, 'ole Craiglast paid off today with this squeaky clean '06 Rubicon..
Smooth bike, and at $3200 I felt good about the purchase. It's crazy what guys want for their beat-up, modified crap these days--so much junk! This one wouldn't have lasted the evening for sale...worth the 120 miles round trip of road work.

Thanks, guys.
I've been riding Yamaha Grizzlys (and recently an Arctic Cat) for the last 16 years, prior to that I was all Honda, Foreman etc.. So it's been awhile.

Almost forgot just how nice Honda's bikes are. This Rubicon automatic/manual electric transmission is amazingly smooth. The overall build quality is fantastic.

You done good Frank! Those Rubi's are nice machines and very versatile. Put some Mudbugs on it and you're all set.

Pretty satisfied with my Pioneer 700. It's not at all fast, 43 mph tops, but unless you have to cover long distances in a hurry, it serves very well. Plenty of torque for off road use and hauling/towing, a true automatic transmission with no belts, and mechanically actuated 4WD and front diff lock. Not the fastest, but certainly very capable and reliable.

I am not interested in speed, just something with some grunt that will haul some firewood and do some serious work in mountainous terrain on the farm. About to kill my poor Suzuki King Quad, pulling a 4X8 trailer loaded down with a hellacious load of firewood up hill, thank goodness it had super low range, because low 4X4 was about done half way up my driveway.

Well heck I got to add this part to it, maybe I was exceeding its towing capacity, a little bit, if I was a guessing man I was pulling around 1800 to 2000 pounds.

I really love the purr of a big twin, unfortunately in the past the long term reviews of the Suzuki and Kawi twins aren't stellar.

Seems it's a choice between Honda and Yamaha "thumper" reliability, or big twin smoothness and eventual service issues.

That's been my experience with mine as well. I'd like to drive one of the Pioneer 1000 to see what the bigger motor and more gears is like.

The Japanese killed my uncle Mike in the south Pacific in WW2. We don't buy from them.

Pretty sure we all sympathize with you on that one, but how exactly is that statement relevant to this thread?
