I’ve had a can of Skoal in my pocket for over 35 years. Love the stuff. I still have all my teeth, jawbone and ugly face. Thank the Lord.

I see my dentist twice a year to get bi-tched at about chewing. Makes him feel better, I’m sure... So, if you chew tobacco. What’s your favorite and how many cans do you tear through a day?

Me... Skoal Long Cut Straight and 1 to 1.5 cans a day. ☠️

Up until a month or so ago it's was a can of Copenhagen snuff every two or three days.

Haven't been to a dentist in 25 years.

Green grizzly or Kodiak. Been about 30 years on and off but mostly on. I’ve got a dip in all day long. I’m looking for a dentist that chews so I don’t get bitched out every time.

You Pussy! 😂🤣 Yeah, I like Kodiak too...When I can’t find Skoal or Cope. You’ve been busy brother these last few days raising all kinds of dust down under, while I’ve been dealing with a new fun ride, called Vertigo. Absolute BS disorder. Keep on preaching! 😎

Grizzly or Skoal peppermint. Like them both so switch back and forth depending on mood. My dentist don't say anything since I brought up the fact that being obese ain't exactly healthy either. Fat bastard.

Stud move right there! I tried to quit 7 maybe 20 times before. Everyone around me wanted me dead as I detoxed. I guess letting me chew was better than suffering my wrath from lack of nicotine. It’s a win-win as I see it 😎

My motivation was financial. There was a SUBSTANTIAL difference in the cost of my life insurance premium, like 60% more as a tobacco user. Wasn't too hard to quit after roughly 22 years of dipping. The first 3 weeks were rough. Chewed so much gum my jaw was constantly sore.
The smell of dip, cig smoke or Redman triggers my gag reflex now.

April must be a good month to quit. I tossed my last can of Skoal into the trash on 4-12-12. I made a promise to a then 6 year old girl.
When I did chew, If I was fishing, it was mint Skoal long cut. Hunting=cherry or straight long cut.

Ah, yes...Them little ones can pull a heart string better than most. I would have given them a full roll of chew in their stockings at Christmas. Start them young, so they won’t ask me to quit. But, instead, they ask to borrow a pinch from dad...🙂 Wife and I couldn’t have kids...So, my dog is now responsible for getting me to quit...But, my dog drinks and I control his booze intake. We just let each other enjoy our vises for now...😎

Gave up the chaw over ten years ago. Smoking about 5 before that. Best thing I ever did. Not here to preach though. Told the wife if I ever got terminal cancer first thing I was doing was buying a carton of Marlboros and case of Skoal.

Still have my scotch every day or so though.

In Sweden they promote the use of Snus as an alternative to smoking cigarettes. They claim that while it might not be good for ya it is a whole lot better than smoking.

I am cheap, so I use Longhorn. $2.99 a can. The other day I had sticker shock. I noticed the price on Redman and some other leafy tobacco, it ranged from $13-15 a bag. I remember back in the mid 80's it was like $.90. WTF.

I dipped 1-2 cans of either Cope original (fine) or Red Seal wintergreen fine cut a day for 12 years or so. Smoked occasionally if I was at a bar or party.

Haven't touched either going on 3 years this July.

I was spending ~$35 bucks a week on it, opening my boy up a savings account and put the money I would have been spending on tobacco in it every week. Helped keep me motivated and off it. Figured by the time he graduates high school, it'll pay for a nice hunting trip about anywhere in the country.

Copenhagen long cut straight, bout 1 can per day, my dentist sent me to an oral surgeon for a test because I don't want to quit dipping, when the OS and I began talking guns and hunting the standard BFS disappeared, he said, look, in 35 years of oral dentistry I've never seen one single case of mouth, throat etc cancer related to smokeless tobacco!

"Your teeth are in like granite, you're obviously well nourished, if it gets back to me I'll have to call you a liar, but dip your damn snuff!" smile

I asked for a pad of paper and left him with some good 300 win mag and 270 win load recipes ;] BTW, lab test was negative after 40 years of smokeless.
