It’s been busy. Wrapping up today and then it’s paint by light tonight.

Looking forward to getting in the water tomorrow and pointing the boat towards home.

Joel-
What caused the need to replace those planks and why just port side?

Hope you have a smooth trip back.

Yellow cedar. Water was getting in under the bulwarks. Yellow gets wet, freezes, and blows out. The way it went back together it won’t be an issue. They were 48 years old, in all fairness. I could have let it go, but then frames
Would be at risk. Other side will need to be done in the next 5-10 years. We did the bad side.

Thanks for the explanation. It didn't look bad to me in the pics up top.

Most guys would let it go. But then you really pay for it when your frames go

Got my butt handed to me 3 times on the way home. Rough. Good to be home. Spent the night tied up to the state float at El Cap Caves. Pretty cool dock but gave me an uneasy feeling for some reason.
