This boar meat is much leaner and darker than store bought pork. Much more flavorful as well. Im guessing its what pork is supposed to taste like.

When I cook fajitas, I generally try to not over cook the meat (particularly lean meat) - Makes for more tender & enjoyable eating !

Looks like you over cooked that [bleep] right there 'Klulas !

wink

I have one friend but he honest have any. Yes this animal was in a pen that was 32 sq miles (20,000 acres) so easy peasy. Open the pen gate and start shooting. Its not like they can get away. Big hogs are really slow and dumb. They practically walk into your arrow if you are not careful. They are not mean or skittish at all. Its like picking a can pf spam off the shelf. HEY!! Canned pork. LOL grin

Saw the water buffalo shot......they looked so cagey the way they stood there looking at you while you drew and aimed. I thought they would charge you any second! Glad you made it out of there unscathed........lmao

Thanks. Glad to hear it. I got a Russian boar with my bow in Jan. In Upper Mich. Froze my cards off walking in knee deep snow. Then I shot a couple Polynesian hogs (1 boar and one sow) with my bow on the big island of Hawaii up on Moana Kea in Feb. then this Eurasian Boar in Texas in March. Im planning to kill pigs in other states and looking at FL and OK and other states. They are fun to hunt and good to eat. I don't think any species of hog ever stops moving. Ive taken Russian, Eurasian and Polynesian and they all move at all times unless you set up under a feeder but Ive only ever done spot and stalk on all my pigs. Ive never hunted hogs at to near a feeder but plan to at some point. Working towards the pig slam and expert status as thats important. wink

Meanwhile I'll keep working towards the hog slam.
