Does anyone know of good replacement hex-head screws for a Weatherby Vanguard action? It would be nice to upgrade the factory screws when I fit it with a new stock.

I usually start these kinds of searches with a call to Brownells technical service. They have almost always come through for me. YMMV.

Good suggestion, but I already tried Brownells. The tech said that I wasn't the first person to call looking for them. He didn't know of any, and could not help me in my search.

Before you expends much effort and $$, pick up a couple of 6mm 1.0mm pitch hex bolts from the hardware store and see if they fit. Might need to do some reshaping of the heads and cut down the length to fit correctly. Paul

Tried the Ace Hardware in the next town over. Pretty shocked by their huge selection of metric screws, I had no idea. Way better selection than The Home Depot. Long story short, found some that will work. Just cut to length and they're good. Thank you jmp300wsm!!!
