I bought a 99 in .358 Winchester and am having trouble finding the date of manufacture. The serial number returns 1916 , which is obviously wrong. (C194xxx). Any help ?

99A Brush Guns were cataloged for a few years in the late 1970's and very early 1980's. Somebody will likely come along and give you more specific information than I can.

Sounds like my 99. 358 Winchester has always dropped my whitetails DRT. But I shoot mostly at short range. I want to get a chance at some hos to verify what I have always thought about 358s. Have you loaded for it yet? Killed anything yet?
