Nope, ice hasn't even broken away & lifted from shore yet.
People were still fishing the river mouth, near the mill, for crappie, last weekend.

Solid ice on big lake yet—creek and river mouths opening up—checked temp on my smelt creek yesterday still 33.7 degrees F. Got 2 inches snow this morning but it’s melting.

The lakes in southern Alberta are starting to break up, and with the recent warmer weather, it shouldn't be too long before all the ice is gone.

Only melt water on the lakes/ Kotzebue Sound yet, but no one is out there on snow machines anymore. It's a coming!
Rivers are breaking up tho, especially in Interior and South Central alaska

Ice went out of my bay last night--if we get rain like it forecasts on friday main lake should open up.

Up date on my above post - I went to the PO that afternoon, and ice was moving, but just barely, on Kotzebue Sound, just across the street. Once the rivers really get going (possibly by today, already) it gets impressive.
Down here on the Kenai, most lakes are open, or just a skim on them yet, as of my drive down on Thursday.
