Skipping dinner in traditional sense tonight. Instead opting for a huge ass bowl of strawberries on Bisquick short cakes. They're my favorite. YUM !

Had a Virginia ham sammy a few minutes ago as an appetizer.

People drink those kinds of "beer" for effect, and ice cold so the bad flavor is less well registered by the cold numbed taste buds. They don't really like beer.

Where we will eat tonight they have an all you can eat salad bar however a discount on prime rib with it.

I always say I am just getting the salad bar and then order both!

Tradition here dictates that when we are out on the 4 wheelers on the vast WV dirt road sytem that all aluminum be thrown to the roadside. Dollar to a donut they're gone in 2 days. Losta poor folks here so they don' last long.

There's even an old gent that rides his horse with a huge canvas sack hung on the saddle horn and a long pole with a nail snagging cans. Haven't seen him for awhile tho'. Hope he's OK

Really, on a hot afternoon out fiddling with the grill or whatever I can enjoy a sixer of cold High Life, and that ain't fancy beer. But I couldn't gag down a single Coors Light if I tried.

Neighbor man has drank continuously for the last umpteen years. After being transported to the ER following an ATV rollover last summer he remained legally intoxicated for almost 72hrs so they say. Is that possible ?

I can't drink a sixer of anything any more but I loves me a PBR on a hot summer afternoon and I always have a Stout or Porter with dinner.

Not here......I love ID but the people here are the worst litterers I've ever seen. At least the residents of No. central ID are.
Shame because it's such a beautiful place.

When I lived in NV you could mark the boundry to the REZ by the trash that all of a sudden appeared along side the highway. The border between ID ond OR is a mirror image.

Bunsteads. Ham not tuna.

Basically egg salad with pickles, diced ham and diced American cheese.

Stuff it into a hot dog bun, wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 350 until the bun gets a little crunchy and the cheese melts.
A grill or campfire works too. Just don't burn them.

Be careful, when you first unwrap, that schidt is like lava.

Easy to make ahead but keep the pickles and onion seperate, they will get watery in the fridge.

Understand your sentiments clearly FG. The itty bitty town of Pickens, WV (pop. 66) sponsored a wilderness ATV ride recently with twelve hundred ATVs showing up. Wait till this week-end . Betcha can't find a can. When I first moved here I was like WTF. DNR will still write ya a heavy ticket if they witness it.

By and large, WV folks are pretty tidy .

Firstly, littering is not a good thing. Some people don't seem to have any upbringin'.
BLT's tonight at the wabigoon ranch.

We had country style pork ribs.

My friend cooked them in a crock pot with apple cider and apple cider vinegar.

I then finished them on the grill.

Baked fries, hot dogs and asparagus from the garden.

Chili verde with grilled chicken instead of pork.

That sounds great FatCity.

We make ours with pork also. How did it turn out using the chicken?

Honestly, id say he is probably a good guy and far more welcome at my dinner table than his "dad".

Ron's need for attention and everything having to be about him explains a lot things. Too bad for his wife & kids.
