What twist in the barrel, and what does it shoot well?

Any idea what year the rifle is ?

3 holes for scope base ?

9 1/4 - 9 1/8 twist .

Don't know year of manufacture.
Rear base has two screws - 4 screws total (Weaver base chart indicates 4 holes started in 1999)
Factory says 8 twist
Only shot Rem Core-Locked 140 gr

Remington should offer this model 7 configeration in 6.5 Creedmoor, Remington needs to offer a rifle hunters want to buy.

Bump for a great rifle in a great caliber. I already have 3 260's so can't use this one. But with a .260, I have absolutely no need for a Creedmoor.

The Remington Seven 260 were only made in 9 twist (no fractionals) until about 3 years ago. Those newer ones are marked on the barrel itself as having an 8 twist. The new ones are identifiable also by having a computer scan marking on the receiver.

Creedmore can't quite run with the 260. I have a pal with 2 Creeds and now he is going to the 260.

I have two of these and they would be the last hunting rifles that I would part with.....they are handy and the .260 does a great job on anything that I have ever pointed it at - an no the new kid on the block isn't going to do any better (or worse). Sorry can't stand the hair splitting - and if we get right to it we really never needed any more that the Swede.
