Thanks to all. Three years to the day we lost Chad and this puts a smile on dad's face! He is a son to be proud of for many reasons.

I remember High Brass. He did not die in vain, I can't imagine my son dying , he is only 21. I buried my dads ashes today . We dug a hole and mom looked down when we were done filling the hole , then she said " now he's back home". He is buried 2 miles from where he was born at the farm house . Buried in the cemetery of the church where he was baptized , confirmed and married. I got choked up and had to walk away for a bit. It must be so many times harder for you . You will see Chad again someday.

ihookem, I'm sorry for your loss. Prayers for comforting and strength. Thanks Dave , my dad dying was a good thing. He told my mom he wanted to die. He was in so much pain , his throat cancer came back and he couldn't eat or drink. It was a relief when he died. Happy Memorial Day !!!

Losing one of our own really resonates for those of us that have been here for a while. We lost a brother, and you lost a son. My heartfelt condolences and thanks, as always. I'll have to see where Mr. Earnhardt is running this weekend, as I don't follow racing real closely. Thanks to his crew for remembering our service men and women. I'll be hoping he wins his race this week for sure.

NASCAR has always done a great job of recognizing and memorializing our departed veterans on Memorial Day weekend. Good and appropriate leadership, there. Many thanks to warriors such as High Brass, and their families. They are truly what sets us apart as a nation.
