I recently bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 and I'm looking at night sights for it. It's mostly going to be a night stand gun and I have already installed a Streamlight TLR-6 rail light on it.
I've been looking at both the XS 24/7 Big Dot and the Ameriglo Pro-IDOT sights on Amazon. I kind of like the orange ring on the Ameriglo but I also like the looks of the v-shaped rear sight on the XS.
I'd like to hear from those with experience with either of these 2, or is there something else I should consider (just to muddy the water a little).

I also have a crimson trace railmaster under the barrel and keep a separate flashlight next to the gun

I like the sight picture of a plain serrated rear and a tritium or fiber optic front sight. 10-8 Performance and Wilson Combat/Vickers make my favorite glock sights.

I do not like the Trijicon HD sights. The rear sight has sharp edges that eat tee shirts, truck seats, hands, etc.......

I just put these on my m&p 45. They are an awesome upgrade to my eyes.

Just stay away from 3 dot sights

I-dots on mine and I really like them.

I’ve ran XS big dots for years on my 19’s. The tritium vile on the rear sights didn’t last long at all, and have been replaced free of charge on the six occasions they failed by XS. Hopefully they’ve fixed the issue. Great customer service from XS though. I’ve moved on to the Trijicon HD XR’s FWIW.

Send the slide to Glock in Georgia. They install night-sights cheap.

Was just shooting mine yesterday with a set of TruGlo TFO, that has a green FO front and two yellow rear. Have the same set but Green front and rear on a Glock 40 10mm Longslide.

Friend had a set of the TFX Pro on a 29 but I liked the TFO better.

The dots always look the same regardless of lighting conditions... With most standard night sights under a lot of lighting condition all you end op see is standard black sights, especially if the sun is bright and you are shooting from a shaded position.

I choose sights based on how they look during the day. The Ameriglo orange front sight that Glock is installing as a factory option are great. At night, tritium sights only help me find the gun in the dark. Once the weapon mounted light comes on, you cant really see the dots anyway.

Yep. Plenty of special ops guys doing fine work with Glock night sights.

I’ve had Trijicon HD’s, Ameriglo I-dot Pro’s and XS Big Dots on my 19. The Trijicon’s have a sharp edge on the rear sight, The I-dots were ok but hard for me to pick with progressive bifocals, same with Trijicons. I really liked the Big Dots but my accuracy wasn’t good with them. I just recently switched to Ameriglo UC sights. They have the tritium front with blacked out rear with a U cutout. Now I only have to focus on the orange front and drop it into the U.

I've had a set of Trijicons on my G-19 since about 2013. Got to look at a few different options at a local shop; was undecided, and picked those on the gunsmith's recommendation. I like 'em but back then I never knew that letting Glock do it was an option. Were they doing that circa 2013?

River_Ridge, I have the XS Big Dot sights on my G27, I-dots on my G35 and G23. I like both systems but, the I-dots are a nose ahead of the XS for me.

Heine Straight 8's; but I have no problem at any of the 3-Dot sights either.

I also do like the XS-Big Dot as well.

I like ameriglo. To me trijicon have priced them selfs out of range for what they offer.
Truglo= to cheap
Trijicon = to high
Ameriglo= just right
And if you can find the Glock factory night sites. They are great for the money. My LGS installs them for about $70.
I will tell you this and i didn’t read all the other post but the plain trinium sites suck in the day light. Suck! Look for a corner optic with the trinium insert for easy pick up day or night
