my DIL is from floriday. but i don't hold that agin' her.
traverse, or whatever your name is, if'n ya don't like the hot & humid, about a million floridians have left there and moved half-back to up north. they settled on north georgia and western north carolina as being just right, with four pronounced weather seasons each year.
just having one or two seasons might take some getting use to, and of course the new language.

Best of luck on your travels down there.....I always enjoyed the Keys.. started the 1st grade in Key West
actually... which I still enjoy visiting ignoring all the Gay Crowd that inhabits it now..
always stop and get me a new hat at Sloppy Joe's....
Minus all the people, FLA still has some great places...
sure beats some other places on the East Coast..
