Thanks for your posts Pharm! I've had this rifle for a few years and never got groups this tight. Good (expensive) factory ammo has been close to MOA or a little better, cheap factory ammo has been garbage, but with this load I'm very excited to see how it does at different ranges etc. Very good find with this combo!

Glad to help. I’ve gotten more positive direction from members of the ‘fire than I can ever hope to repay. Big credit to mistem (I still owe him a case of beer) for the Big Game recommendation.
Load a bunch a practice a lot. You’ll love the mild recoil and out-of-proportion killing power. I’ve been nothing short of amazed at how the Mighty -08 kills. It’s the damndest thing. I grew up a dedicated .30-06 shooter, too.

So are you saying the magnetospeed made your poi 3 inches defferent?

So are you saying the magnetospeed made your poi 3 inches defferent? I've seen a large POI shift with a Magnetospeed attached vs not attached on a heavy barreled 308.

It definitely can, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will.

I use the Magnetspeed and love it. I also have a supremely accurate Mcwhorter 7mm08. When I check velocities with this combo, it makes my McWhorter shoot like a Kimber............

I also just purchased a Kimber Montana in 7MM-08. I have only been working with 120 grain Nosler BT and 130 grain Speer SPBT. I used CFE223 with the 120 grain Nosler's and IMR 4064 with the 130 grain Speer's. This is the last group with the Nosler's and last two groups with the Speer's. The coal length is wrong in the picture it should read 2.784. These 3 groups plus the 5 that I shot working up to these all looked identical 2 together and 1 3/8 of a inch out. All eight groups would have fit in and a 1 & 1/4 group. This is with 30 shots down the barrel.

A gun in the hand is worth more than the entire police force on the phone.

Nice! Hopefully we can start changing the negative connotation of the saying "It shoots like a Kimber!"
PS I love this ELDx load but I'm waiting for 500 bullets to come in. Meanwhile I'm looking for a load for the 140gr TTSX. I have the Barnes load data but I was wondering if anyone has a good load they've found for the 140 TTSX?

Since monometals don’t shed much weight you can drop down in weight and increase the velocity. P

Have you tried RL15 at all? I have 5.5# BG left but it’s hard to get here, the store just got a shipment of RL 15 tho..

I've used the 120 BT quite a bit as well. Culled around 40 whitetails with it so far. I don't run it real hard though, as I much prefer less bloodshot meat. IT is a wicked killer.
Ingwe and I just got back from a successful Axis hunt where I used the 120 BT, running a paltry 2800 fps to dump a 200lb buck in his tracks. The bullet went straight through the shoulder and was found underneath the hide on opposite side. It weighed 80.5 grains, performing perfectly. That load is 40.6 gr RL15, OAL 2.805.

Since I'm out of 150gr ELDx at the moment I loaded up some 140gr TTSX. I really wasn't expecting to find such good results, I just started low and worked up to Barnes' max load at their COAL. The flyer at 40.6 was pretty stiff as I chambered it, and I pulled it. So I think I'll load up a minimum of 5 rounds for 40.6, 40.9, and 41.2 I'm excited! Before I started reloading I liked my rifle.. but now I'm in love.

Where I hunt a real 200 pound whitetail is a Big Buck, yet some guys on my deer lease use 300 mags.

My father and I were 7mm Wby. mag guys for a while. He used to dupe the factory 139 grain load by using the MRP data out of the back of one of those old Weatherby product line magazines. OTOH I used to use a load of IMR78278 from the old tan paper IMR reloaders guide. Then one day at a gun show we found a nifty little Steyr full stock carbine in 308 Winchester and everything changed.
