I can almost smell that through the screen!

What are dimensions and weight, Richard?

Be another month here. Hate the rain, but the fields need it.

That makes so much more sense than the way that we used to do it with the small bales. There are no words that come remotely close to being adequate to express how much I hated baling.

Here either. Most folks just got their first cut done. I prefer to wait for the 2nd or 3rd but it's not clear how much water we'll have, so I picked up 80 small bales on Thursday.

We got much-needed rain yesterday ~1”. More this weekend.

Nearly another month before First (only) cutting.

I call it "retro" baling for a cash crop to sell to some of the local horse farms around here.

I'm trying to recall, it seems a salesman told me he sold a small square bailer new. I think, $32,000?

Dang. Every tractor implement on our farm came from a buddy or classifieds, I don’t think we paid over $1k for any individual piece. Not a great year for hay in our area either.

We haven't received enough rain for the hayfield to even green up from the winter. Even the thistles are having a hard time.
