Looks like my 99's "born on" date was 3/5/1925, and it shipped from the warehouse on 6/26/1925
Originial cosingee was the "treat hardware company"
I think i may have to record the ownership through the family on the back of it, roll it up, and stick it in the stock

I just googled that too. Strangely, while my family has been in new hampshire and mass for 100+ years, we have never been anywhere remotely close to lawrence

How long did it take to get the letter?

I see that they still need to work on grammar and punctuation.

They really need to have someone proof read them.

They really need to have someone proof read them. How much would that add to the cost?

Johno, the records for serial numbers ~371200 to ~400000 have been lost, so you can’t get a letter for them. I suspect your rifle might fall in this range.

Johno The letters will no longer have that unique personal touch offered up by Roe Clark or John Callahan. Those letters are a thing of the past. There were many that complained there was not enough factual content in the letters, but if the info isn't in the ledger it just isn't there. Both Clark and Callahan had personal experience at the Savage plant in the day. Both of them met with and actually knew many on this forum so they gave extra effort. We were actually spoiled, but those days age gone. Now it appears the letters are somewhat generic.
