Grilled beef kabobs last night marinated in Lawrey's steak and chop marinade. Turned out excellent

A little early to give a full report but suspect it will rate high up there with the WSM. The hang on hooks method really expands the real estate over putting your meat on a grill shelf as in most smokers out there..

Local asparagus down to $1.99lb. Gonna be some grilled this weekend. Cooking up some of those brats I posted a picture of in FieldGrade’s sausage fest of a thread.

Hard to beat...a good sausage fest.

The grandkid rides my 45 year old Murray trike.

Great family time Jim.

No grill for these beauties. Ill save all the fat and juice for sausage biscuits n gravy this weekend.

Funny aside, that Frida Kahlo head with the succulents was a gift to the wife from her sister. She absolutely hates it. So I made it my official foodie pic mascot. I always get the ah schit eye roll from her when I put the head in the pics. Funny crap you do after 26.5 years of marriage. Don’t worry you’ll get there.

Saving the drippings is indeed a good idea.

I recently discovered that Brat drippings along with some caramelized onions and beef stock makes the best brown gravy known to mankind.

I threw a moose round roast into the crockpot this morning with gravy, taters, onions, and carrots- served over rice. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Not supper, but a late breakfast.

Beans, eggs, potatoes, and a couple cans of kippered herrings.

Was well received.

I'm starting to think I may be in the country illegally.
Last night I made some Pinto Beans with Mexican style seasoning and then I had Mexican Charizo and eggs this morning.

I stole a page from that King Ranch Chicken Soup I make and added some tortilla strips at the end. It was pretty good.
