The rain and hail we got last week seem to have energized the grass here, a welcome effect.

We are seeing cow elk with spotted calves, fuzzy baby turkeys and new fawns. They seemed to have been waiting for the moisture before venturing out of thicker cover.

Thank you, Bud!

Yeah, the hail beat up the fruit trees pretty badly, but such is life.

What's doing in your neighborhood?

Rain's just now moving in here. Been showering, but nothing major. Hope that changes this week!

Glad you guys got some much needed rain up there. It'll sure help the fire situation. Praying the monsoons start early and last long for you.

My grass has not stopped growing, or even slowed down. We have had plenty of rain so far, and I'm not griping. Pastures are looking good and so are the crops. Just praying that the rain keeps coming on a as needed basis.

Thank goodness for your rain. I’m in a different situation all together. Poured out 21.5” of rain out of the gauge by my garden in the last four weeks. It has absolutely murdered my garden. Proud for your change of fortune!

Great news sir...

We finally got rain here yesterday also. First real rain we've had in nearly a month - and it was so VERY welcome...

I have to go take some round bale hay out to the cows this morning so they will have something to eat for the days of rain forecast... frown

The forecast looks good. But that grass don't grow on "forecasts". wink

I measured 1.7" from Bud here in Tucson. Glad to have it. Last rain was back in February 28.

.41 here, much needed. The only moisture we've had since planting the dryland corn. It may not be enuff to save it. The winter wheat is already yellow.....

Nothing here to speak of. Sure wish we'd see some moisture.

Good for you! We went thru New Mexico and Arizona a couple of weeks ago....you folks definitely needed some rain! We’re (so far) having one of the “wettest/coolest” springs that we’ve had in many years. memtb

Shagged an inch of rain here Saturday.

Nice but if we could get some more this week would be nice.

This makes 2 inches since last OCT.

We are well into that “ time it never rained”. It has been a very screwed up Spring. The only upside is no tornados....... yet.

Borderdoc: I live here in SW Montana and we have been inundated with rain (and snow in the higher country!) for several days now - rained hard again today and monsoon like rain last night went on for two hours plus.
I am worried about the very young calves and fawns in this quadrant of the state.
Poor timing this.
Mother Nature can be a cruel bitch at times - and this looks to be one of them.

dumped 2.2" out of the rain gauge this morning. I think the tan grass already was starting to turn green again. Hoping for more in the next couple of days.
