I am hoping to go after a cow elk after my antelope hunt (if drawn). I am not seeing much in the way of public land opportunity for cow elk. I was hoping to stay in the southeast or central part of Wyo. Am I missing something or are all the hunts on private land or on difficult access land? What would you suggest to try for a cow somewhere else for a October hunt?

Thanks

There might be more leftovers this year due to multiple yrs of mild winters. Just wait for the leftover list to come out.

Feel free to pm me if you have questions

There will be leftovers for sure in one specific area but it has difficult access. The elk are very hit and miss on the public there. Few public sections and they herd up and move around.
If you have a specific area in mind pm me also.
