I washed my truck the other day and noticed the Boot ? that the antenna screws into is loose.

I'm guessing it is connected to a bolt through the fender. Also guessing that removing the inner fender panel would give me access to that mounting bolt.

Has anyone ever had to do any work on the antenna boot or remove inner fender to see if there is a way to the bolt ?

Thanks in advance for advice.

I have an 08 Ram. I've had the fender liner out but haven't ever looked at the antenna. The liner is easy. A drill gun with the right sized nut driver will have it out in minutes. It's easy enough that I remove it to get at the fuel filter instead of messing around with standing on my head.

Rock Chuck, I understand it's a pain to change the oil filters.

On my 03 I had to buy a really long extension to reach the filter while underneath.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe someone else has noticed the antenna while working on theirs. If not I'll have a look at taking the liner off.
