http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...e-jefferson-davis-name-from-highway.htmlSo Jefferson Davis Highway is "offensive" thus all businesses, residents, etc, will have to change their address, business logo, shipping info, etc, because omeone is "Offended". My guess is a nation wide, State-wide, or even City/County-wide poll of residents, and less than 20% could answer basic questions about who Jefferson Davis was, where and when he lived, or why a highway is named after him. Yet, changing the name will make them "unoffended"?
And these zombies line up and eat from the media’s trough

Sad. There is a Jefferson Davis highway here, a Jefferson Davis state park, and a 351 foot tall monument honoring his birthplace. So far, so good.
Barry, will they make Jeff Davis County in Texas change it's name?

I saw a Confederate flag tee shirt the other day and had to buy it. I will be very not sorry if it is offensive to anyone. GD

It's not merely American history, it's the intentional destruction of what was once uniquely American culture. Out with the old, in with the new old: socialism and fascism.

NoVa. No surprise. They had to change the name of a main road and bridge in our town to MLK boulevard couple years back. Cost every business along the path to change everything with their address on it a fortune. Funny part, as far as I know there is absolutely zero connection between MLK and this town. Never stepped foot in the place. Bunch of emotion fueled puzzy hat wearing political revolutionaries FEEL good now though.

This is liberal Marxist lunacy applied to the small minded bigots that have been lead think they can erase history. We have a rich history and should embrace it. Man cannot embrace the future if he cannot or will not embrace the past.

I wonder how many streets, roads and schools are named MLK? Martin Luther King Blvd. in Austin, Texas will always be 19th Street to me and Lady Bird Lake in Austin will always be Town Lake.

I wonder how many streets, roads and schools are named MLK? Every town in America with over 10000 residents is required to have an MLK Blvd. Nothing against the man but why is he more important than the multitude of others?! (rhetorical of course)

The renaming of all the streets and other places that had "offensive" names is a result of two things........the liberals need to "feel good" about it, and the Negroes like the attention. It serves no other useful purpose. It reminds me of the reparation for Negroes talk that get's brought up every so often.....no thought whatsoever is given as to how to pay for it, no former slaves are alive or have been for a very long time and it will not solve one problem acing the Black community.
If you want to do something for somebody, then do something that that will benefit them in the long run. As the old saying goes......don't give a man a fish, teach them how to fish. Also......quit changing history, and covering up the parts of it that you don't like. History is not only a great teacher, but it is part of our heritage and should be treated as such.
Finally, White people have just as much of a right, and maybe even more so, to demand the right to keep those "offensive" named streets and buildings as they are. Why?.....because we paid for them.
