This 1999 book is about multiple survivors' problems after the death of a poor, hard working man in Piedmont Springs, Colorado. The man dies from cancer at age 62. But, just before dying he tells his son, a doctor in town who is going through a divorce, about some money in the attic. Two million dollars to be exact. Where did it come from? Well, just a little blackmail. And, there's a safe deposit box key. To a box in Panama. And, a young woman has received $200,000 in the mail. What a mess. But the answers do come--eventually. A few murders here and there. The FBI and IRS are around, too.

A good read. In paperback just short of 500 pages.
