This book came out in 2016. I skimmed it back then and it describes a situation where several individuals had fingerprints that were a match. The fingerprint evaluator who worked for the FBI Lab went to his boss and the potential problems arising from such a state with several million convictions at risk of being reversed due to fingerprint matches sets off a true firestorm. I didn't finish it then and figured 'Naww. Not the FBI'.
Well fast forward to nowadays. The book was on my desk waiting patiently to be read. And now it reads like it's out of the headlines. And, there's a LOT of shooting wisdom in it. Multiple murders due to the reaction to the information from the lab rat and overall one fine read. The author you may recognize from articles in shooting magazines and from his other novels.
I'd recommend this book.
And will be recommending it to my shooting and leo friends.
