Have my first later this year. I have officially joined the old farts club. Damn.

I remember that episode. Laughed for a long time.

There is a good amount of research that for the average joe a sigmoidscope is much easier and possibly more effective. However if your family has s history of colon cancer its a life ssving necessity. You can celebrate afterwards.

At times when I had it done I was not completely out, just sedated. It's weird to watch the camera zoom in on your bung just before entry!

Same here, I saw the Dr’s shoes and the two nurses on the monitor before it reached my bung. 😳
Also, For every inch seemed like it went in a foot!! Gotta admit, it was interesting to see how the inside of my colon looked like. No barnacles! 👍🏼

This right here. If you could see what my brother-in-law is going through, drinking the prep gunk is nothing. I just hold my breath and chug it down, then swish my mouth out with water.

Bill had 6 months of chemo during which the cancer advanced. Now he's on another 8 weeks of chemo and looks like an Ethiopian. Lost 30 pounds because he gets nauseous every time he eats. His belly bloats up like he's 10 months pregnant because his lymph nodes are blocked and can't properly drain excess fluid so every 10 days he has to have a needle puncture his abdomen to draw the stuff out. Last time they got 6 litres and the time before that 6.5 litres.

Drink the stuff and savor it. It's way better than the alternative. Cancer plays rough.
