Today I gave the 62 grain TTSX’s a go. Conditions were 92 degrees, humid, light wind, with mild mirage. I seated them .050” off the lands to start with. Found pressure at 34.6 grains of Varget. MOA at best.. Tomorrow’s range trip should produce a better result than today using 34.3 grains with bullets seated at .030, .070, and .090 off the lands.

Why in the world would they slow the twist down? 1-7 bullets are on the market and they started with a 1-7. Pretty sure they don't need my opinion on how to build rifles but that's a head scratcher for me.

My money is on the deeper seating depth.

When I first took a look at this thread several days ago I saw the 1/7 twist pic and decided it was time for me to grab one and start slinging 88 ELDs. Then all I could find were 1/8's.

I really have no need for a 22-250. The 223/223AI takes care of what I need but the 88 ELD had gotten my attention and an over the counter package ready for it drew me in.

I wonder why they slowed it down as well? Maybe they were seeing pressure in some factory ammo or having trouble with lighter bullets?

7 twist is where it's at. They probably slowed down the 22-250 to ensure that it wouldn't tear up people's varmint bullets. And probably they plan to chamber the 22 Creedmoor and run that with a 7 twist.

Different strokes for different folks. But 7 twist is what you want.
