My current Lab came to me at 10 weeks with the name of Amber. My older labs name was Misty. Amber and Misty together sounded like two strippers so Amber became Ellie. It took a couple days and she got it. Best of luck with the pup.

We had to put down our beloved 15 year old yellow Lab, Ellie Mae, last June. Still miss her terribly. We had Labs for 30 years but she got deeper into my heart than the other two. Now in our senior years, we got two ankle biters as companions. They are sweet dogs but just ain't the same. But, then, nothing beats a Lab. Enjoy your new pup.

Got us a new pup.Gretzky.
A black Lab. All ears and feet and a tail that doesn't stop wagging. She's living the life of Riley. The floor around the dinning room table has never been cleaner and the shoes have never had such a workout.
She seem smart, starting to be house trained already. She has 6 kids to torment and play with. She's living the high life...but secretly, so am I. It's been 6 years since my Daisy dog died and this was just what I needed. Good for you tzone. Dogs bring a lot of joy into a family.

Hanco, get one.. We have two goldens: Kate is 6, Maggie 3, I think next year we may get a puppy... But I may wait til she is house trained before picking her up... Puppies and dogs are awesome..
