For the last 10-12 years it has been a constant battle with her and drug addiction. She has FIVE boy friends and all have died at the hands of overdose. We have pointed her to help. She has cleaned herself up only to give in again. I can't "make" her stay sober. So now, "I" have given up. I am just waiting for the inevitable. My wife is my rock. THIS THING I am waiting for is my biggest and only fear.

Other than the slow diseases and disability, the one thing I fear is my wife outliving me. She is at a stage where she could not be able to live alone and depends on me for a lot.
That we could all die at home in our sleep.

There are many things to logically "respect" and be cautious of because of the harm they can do you. To me, "fear" is that step beyond logic, a visceral and uncontrollable reaction which is logically out of balance with the scale or probability of the thing triggering it. One of the few things I truly fear is spiders. Oddly enough, one ran out onto my desk as I said that. Now the SOB is approximately 0.0001 inch thick, give or take. Another is drowning. Both are rooted in childhood trauma. Even though I can go back to a specific incident initiating each logically, I can't take the "zing" out of them. Tom

I don’t like heights either, worked on lots of skyscrapers, no walls, all our pipe is close to the outside of buildings or the elevator shafts. Always on ladders, scared me all the time. We landed our pipe and equipment on a platform held in place by screwjacks. I wouldn’t do that again.

I am scared to death of time passing. You're 35. Time hasn't started passing for you yet. At my age you start measuring things in terms of decades instead of years. It really kicks into high gear about age 50. I've got a motorcycle out there I bought 10 years ago. It feels like I've had it a little while,...but not 10 damn years! A decade at age 62 feels like 3 years did at age 35.

Summer heat bothers me too. But I refuse to complain about it. Winter in Kentucky is grey,...rain,..snow,..and the budget getting slapped with heating bills,...inactivity. That's the worst part,...the inactivity. I can wrap up enough to fight the cold,....but we had so much rain this past winter that going outside meant wading mud. It's difficult to get enthused about doing outdoor activities when you've got to deal with ankle deep mud.

Death of a child (regardless of age) before me. There's not much I fear but this is definitely one. Me also, and I add my two grand daughters.

At the moment, the greatest fear I have is that all of the democrats that voted for Trump (Thank you!) are going to continue voting for Democrats other than POTUS. I'm old enough to not fear stuff that will kill me, but don't want to see the death of our republic.

It spoils the moment. Same here. Funny lookin things without some hair on em. Younger guys are scared of hairy puzzy. I prefer mine with a crew cut. The ones that resemble a slab of shag carpet half way down the thigh ain't right. A small landing strip will work.
