I'll post a few pictures from my two recent trips to Ontario. The first in June was a fly in for Lake Trout and Pike. The second was last week for Smallmouth with a few Walleye and Pike.

We caught hundreds of Pike but the 39" and this 37" were the biggest

I hooked a small Pike and had a larger one rush in and T bone it, then wouldn't let go. He kept working his way toward the head to turn and swallow him before I pulled him away.

Biggest of the trip, 20.5" over 5 pounds. There was a mayfly hatch and the bass had fat bellies.

Nice pictures! Glad you had a good time, and the fishing must have been good.

I hate to be such a wet blanket, I'd like to see PFD's on while in the boat.

We wear them when running but take them off when we switch to the trolling motor, unless it is really rough. I always say my wife would kill me if I drowned up there.

Well done! Looks like a really good time. Did you have a traditional shore lunch?

Here are a few shots with PFD in use. If I am going somewhere that I am not using my boat, but a camp boat, I still take my own PFD.

Had fish for supper. I don't want to haul the equipment needed, nor fight the mosquitos, to fix shore lunch when I can fix the meal in the comfort of the cabin at the end of the day.

We always looked for stained water lakes up there because the fish were not as deep as those gin clear lake trout lakes. That looks like one of those Boga Grips that grabs the lower jaw on those toothy ones. Pricey little units, but they sure save getting cut up. Mine got stolen last trip and I miss it. I've seen a guy's hand cut wide open from holding a northern up for a picture when it shook an his hand was where it shouldn't have been.

What make of boats are those? They look deep, and wide.

Thanks for sharing. Couldn't make it up this year and really am missing it.

The camp boats on trip 1 were 16' Lunds. The second trip I took my own boat, a Lund 1650 Rebel XS with a 60 horse Merc four stroke.
