Reba McIntire: Is There Life Out There, I can't Even Get the Blues No More, and whatever that song she did with Linda the back up singer Rascal Flatts- Fast Cars and Freedom Collin Raye-Little Rock Joe Diffie- Prop Me Up Against the Jukebox Deep Purple- Smoke on the Water and Highway Star Gordon Lightfoot- Sundown and Early Morning Rain Ronnie Milsap- SmokyMountain Rain
So many. The Star Spangled Banner. Battle Hymn of the Republic. Anything by AC/DC. Arlington by Trace Adkins. The Angry American by Toby Keith, mostly because of the time and what the song represented. Those bastards that flew the planes into our buildings still haven't been made to pay enough for their sins.
I prefer Lightfoot's "Canadian Railroad Trilogy" to "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." Local radio wore the shipwreck song out for me. I always thought Donald Trump should have included Mitch Ryder's "Devil with a Blue Dress" in his campaign rallies.
No matter where I go musically, and my tastes are varied and wide, I come back to this as possibly the greatest:
I could very EASILY "trump" it with AMERICA, THE BEAUTIFUL. The only thing better. And if you dont well up the tiniest bit, youre either dead, or a Clinton supporter. Oh my Lord...did I just repeat myself??
Ray sings many versions, but IMO this is his best. (ignore the video)
I also would upvote Claptons Bell Bottom Blues, or at least a half dozen of George Harrison songs.
Lately, this syrupy moldy 45 has snuck into my brain, and has set up camp. send pears.

Trump HAD the World, ", Trump saw our children, " Trump saw a way to make a brighter day so he started giving There was a choice he was making, he was saving our own lives Its true he made a brighter day for you and me. --Trump WINS 2016
Songs...not instrumentals. What do you think? Tough to remove the music sometime. Disregarding the guitar, what is your favourite song?
Added...This would be a very difficult question for me.
That would leave the lyrics, right?
I like this one, with lyrics like this:
Church on Sunday, sleep and nod Tryin' to duck the wrath of God Preacher's fillin' us with fright They all tryin' to teach us what they think is right They really got to be some kind of nut (I can't use it!) Tryin' to make it real — compared to what?
Where's that bee and where's that honey? Where's my God and where's my money? Unreal values, crass distortion Unwed mothers need abortion Kind of brings to mind ol' young King Tut (He did it now) Tried to make it real — compared to what?!
Or , being a bit of an anti-establishment type myself:
Yeah, sing the song, Bro'
If the sun refuse to shine,
I don't mind, I don't mind, If the mountains fell in the sea, let it be, it ain't me. Alright, 'cos I got my own world to look through, And I ain't gonna copy you.
Now if 6 turned out to be 9, I don't mind, I don't mind, Alright, if all the hippies cut off all their hair, I don't care, I don't care. Dig, 'cos I got my own world to live through And I ain't gonna copy you.
And for some of us nonconformists, this one holds meaning:
Well, you walk into a restaurant, strung-out from the road And you feel the eyes upon you as you're shaking off the cold You pretend it doesn't bother you but you just want to explode
Most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can All the same old clichés: "Is that a woman or a man?" And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand
Later I may toss up a couple dealing with "love life".

The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
"Come, shall we go and kill us venison? And yet it irks me the poor dappled fools, Being native burghers of this desert city, Should in their own confines with forked heads Have their round haunches gored."
