Looks like a great recipe Charlie.

Tonight's was some sort of meatloaf my wife does in the crock pot. Too hot for oven stuff. And we bought a bunch of beets yesterday at the farmers market and she made Harvard Beets with them. First time I ever had them.

Yesterday she made some rhubarb/strawberry soup, which is served cold and it was very good. From the Betty Crocker cookbook. Rhubarb came from our plants, about the only thing we've got ready so far.

Yea...it was good Geno....the Balsamic Vinegar adds a nice little zing.
I didn't have any White Balsamic but the dark stuff didn't seem to hurt anything.

PS....the "cook for 10 minutes" part is either a typo or someone that likes raw potato's and beans.

Well, I can eat green beans raw, actually prefer them right from the bush. But a dish with them and taters? crazy

I did a half NY Strip, like that the weekend before last.

My gut was screaming at me, "don't do it", it's for cooking hard & fast, but it was what my brother wanted, for our visiting 'lations.

Turned out fine, just different to "normal" NY strip steaks.

The plan here is rib steak, not ribeye's, rib steak, salad, an ear of corn, toast.

Our son has my camera, close your eyes, and picture it.

Hi Jim,

Was referring to Rooster7(Jim), & his smoked eye of round thread.

Henceforth, you will be known as the big Kiwi, in honour of your lovely wife & family.

That, & to avoid confusion !

smile

Let it be known;

That to further avoid the mass confusion that has ensued in this wonderful thread, due to 2 sets of parents, naming their children the same, I will continue to call Rooster7(Jim), Big chicken !
