If I were replacing my OR Croc's I'd go with Kuiu Yukon's... the one thing I don't like about the Croc's is the lack of a snap at the bottom of the gaiter opening. The little Velcro tab wears out becoming useless. I'll fit mine with an aftermarket snap, but having one in the first place, like the Kuiu Yukon, would have been the better design. I also like that Kuiu makes them in non-camouflage colors (other than black). The Hillsound Armadillo lineup looks good too, but I have no experience with them. Ditto RAB and Black Diamond. Hah! There you go! Maybe its not so important when rifle hunting but my guide in Alaska is adamant about wearing clothes that are QUIET! He's not into all camo but likes most garments to be fleece.
This is especially important with the gaiters. They are usually some water-shedding material that is usually pretty noisy. Maybe 30 years ago I had fleece gaiters from LL Beano when I hunted elk with a recurve. I wonder if you could sew fleece to gaiters and make 'em quiet?
Now that I think of it, my LL backpack was all camo fleece with a rough leather bottom.

ok guys. I've got a merino base layer shirt and a zip up fleece shirt. long sleeved really thin camo shirt I think that I could use a water resistant layer to go over the top of those layers. And for bino harness I would go Rick Young harness and neoprene cover.

If by weather resistant you mean waterproof, i havent found any that leave you with dexterity. I use OR fleece for warmth with the goretex shell gloves made by Kuiu if i need waterproof. Theyd definitly come off for a shot or something similar.

Don't know about you needing help Brad (since I have two prosthetic legs you could easily pull one off...). The camo/required orange is the uniform you see in the woods here. Take care, Mac.

I have read that deer, and I guess this would include elk, can only see the color blue in it’s true form. And all other colors are seen as gray to yellow.
