I was never scared of heights, but the older I get the more scared I am of heights. I HATE this bridge in MD. Crossed over it other week coming home from Ocean City and had to stay in the middle lane...lol.

Just read a trucker died on the other Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel in VA. That'n I never drove, but to go under water is a no no for me 😳

I sold a boat to a guy last fall who would only meet me in town because he couldn't cross the bridge between where he and I lived. He was literally terrified of bridges and wasn't afraid to let anyone know.

I can believe that. Theres a business that will drive you across the bay bridge in your car. I hear they do a heck of a business. Theres a lot of people who cant hack it. I can cross it, but feel anxiety creepin in when I get up at the top.

When you ride on the steel grated section, the bike squirms left-right and you can't do anything about it.If you don't ride "loose" you'll be in real trouble.

I've known a number of people that refuse to drive over bridges. They were all black. I deduced it was more of a water thing than a height thing or maybe a combination of the two.

That being said, some of the overpasses here around Miami are freakin' TALL! Grin... I've shot up a couple that overlooked the city and thought 'JFC this thing is up there.'

How the hell does it act when the grates are wet? Youre crazy...lol. I actually went down through Delaware to avoid it, but it took longer.

You sayin im part coon?? ..lol. You know, I think it is the water part. I used to be a roofer, but then again I put rafters up for the shed at camp and chose to have locals do the tin. All I know is I dont like it

It does the same schit to a car if you're going fast enough. It's awful.

No I'm just saying that has been my exposure to people with this ailment. I mean they would literally pull over, and make their wife drive over the bridge. Or friend or kid or whatever. They physically could not do it.

The only time that bridge bothered me was when I got stuck in the middle of it due to a traffic accident. SOB sways in the wind and bounces with traffic, I never noticed it driving over it.

When they're wet I never noticed a difference.I do try to avoid the lane that has the grates but sometimes it's not possible.
