uumm... did you Canucks lose something recently?.... like all this frigid Canadian air that has dropped down to my previously nice warm state of Louisiana! Please take it back, we aren't used to it! LKH

Actually guys, you are feeling the resumption of the Cold War with our old nemesis, Russia. This cold front originated in Siberia, came over the Pole and thence south. The object is to allow Boggy to age a couple of dead pigs outdoors in an appropriate temperature. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> . The temperature moderated a bit yesterday and left us with a few inches of snow which is badly needed as a lot of wetlands dryed out up here last summer. No wetlands, low waterfowl production, less fun for me..

28C in Siberia? That would be about 82F. Me thinks it's a little colder than that up there. -28C maybe?

When traveling I listened to a weather forecast on each side of the border the same day. The Canuck weatherman said that a low pressure region in the US was pulling cold air down from the arctic and across Canada. The US weatherguy said that a high pressure area in Canada was pushing cold air from up north down into the US.
