Anyone fished for surf perch in bays?
Local guy said they are coming into the bays over on the Oregon coast.
What about tides? Am thinking the same as surf fishing, usually best about high tide?
Thanks! Virgil B.

I know some guys that fish for them in Tillamook Bay, and yes generally you want to be fishing the incoming tide. Try up around whats known as the Ghost Hole. I've tried off the North Jetty but never had any luck there.

Thanks for the feedback!
We'll give it a try next time we go over, on the mouth of the Siuslaw at Florence.

If you are down that way you might also try Coos Bay, my girlfriends dad used to do pretty good in the bay off the bank, not sure what time of year but think it was about this time of the year. Think he fished mostly on the Coos Bay side of the bridge.

Good tip!
We fish south of Florence most of the time.
Thanks! Virgil B.
