Old one in great shape with hammers. My friend left a another dry fire it. Heard something go down the barrel and hit a paper bag in the room. Firing pin broke. I made a new one and found screws loose. If I tightened them the pins came out the back. I had no washers to fit, found brass tubing the size of the heads. I cut threads in the tube and cut small sections to screw to the heads. Works perfect to hold pins in. I tightened the screws and it shoots great. I made the pin out of tool steel, hardened and drew temper to 500° in my lead pot. Do not quench when tempering, Let cool slow. I made springs for flint locks. Frizen and mainsprings that have lasted 50 years by tempering in lead at 600°. Take it out and put on the edge of the pot, turn it off and let cool. Do not shock the steel. I make cutters hard and put in the kitchen oven at 300° to temper. Shut the oven off and let cool. I make cherries for bullet molds Not pretty but will shave an eyeball.
