Slightly funny and cool story.
Some time back a really cool forum member here contacted me about needing some 22HP components. Let’s call him Member A. I surprised Member A and mailed him a pile of free factory loaded 22HP ammo, good brass ect. During the course of life, another forum member, called Member B, gets some of that gear as a gift from Member A. Now Member B, who just attended the 2018 Savage Fest, donates that gear as one of this year’s door prizes. Well guess who wins that door prize this year? Yup, I won some of the same exact gear I gave away way back when.
Pretty long odds. It sometimes pays to be nice.

And RAS has continued his generosity at this year's Fest which I will do my best to keep the good will flowing. Whether it actually gets back to Jeff only time will tell. But he is deserving all that comes his way! Bruce

What is even more weird, is all that gear came from Kodiak Island, AK. I got it the first time I went hunting there. Also got a lifetime supply of .227 bullets too. To include some Sisk bullets. Actually, more than a lifetime supply.
Bruce,
If I would have looked farther down into that big blue box of mine, I would have gotten you a Leupold Vari-X II 1-4 scope. Straight tube and duplex. It would’ve been just a tad lighter than that Burris. I almost threw it away with the paper trash from the my wrapped elk hide. It needs a home, so I am going to put it on my F in 300.

Thanks to RAS my 1899H in 30-30 is deer ready as of today. the Burris fit just right on Mike's Lightfoot mount, Thanks Mike too. 170 gr Core-Lokt. At 100 yards all in 3" circle. Will practice a bit more before November's deer season. Have 4 bucks on camera in main food plot already. Need to attract a few does to keep the bucks close...

Bruce,
Cool beans my man. Those USA made Burris straight tube scopes are totally bullet proof and reliable. If you get a buck this year, you have to post a pic of the gun, scope ect...
All the best, Jeff
